Walach, H., & Marmann, P. (2021). Self-Treatment to Improve Mental and Physical Health Using Two Bioenergetic Devices: A Randomized Controlled Trial. Journal of Psychiatry and Psychiatric Disorders, 5(4), 107–119.

This randomized controlled trial explored self-treatment with Healy and Healy Coil devices in medically healthy volunteers over a short two-week period. The authors reported improvements in general wellbeing measures, while noting that the study was not blinded and that device effects cannot be clearly separated from expectation or placebo effects. This study explored intensive meditation practice and biological / plasma measures. It is included because it supports the wider research idea that intensive mind-body meditation may be associated with measurable biological changes across pathways linked with stress response, immune function and wellbeing. This was not a simple guided visualisation study and should be framed as emerging mind-body research, not as a treatment claim or as proof that meditation prevents or treats illness.
